Science and technology boost the value of agricultural products in Ha Tinh

The application of technology in growing Phalaenopsis orchids, Panax notoginseng, or high-tech shrimp farming has proven to increase product value and promote local economic growth. The Department of Science and Technology in Ha Tinh reported positive results in productivity and quality improvements in key local products thanks to new technological advances. This has led to an increase in value and economic growth in the region.

Through research tasks, the department has been able to master the technology of selecting and creating high-yield, good-quality plant and animal varieties that are well-adapted to production needs. Various models of producing Phalaenopsis orchids and Panax notoginseng using high technology have shown promising yields, while households raising giant freshwater prawns have also benefited from the application of artificial intelligence technology.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Tran Hong Thai, visited a high-tech agricultural model producing Phalaenopsis orchids in Thach Khe commune, Thach Ha district, Ha Tinh province, recognizing the success of the project. The program supporting the application and transfer of scientific and technological advances in rural and mountainous areas has been instrumental in these advancements.

In addition to orchids, the department is also focusing on a project for the experimental planting model of Bo Chinh Ginseng in Thach Ha district. This project aims to create a premise for expanding the cultivation of ginseng and replacing ineffective crops in the area. The application of technology in this project has led to significant improvements in growth and potential yields.

Furthermore, high-tech intensive shrimp farming has been successful in various districts in Ha Tinh, with new technologies being applied to increase farming efficiency. Models such as farming in floating round tanks, farming indoors, and biosafety farming have shown promise in improving productivity and reducing disease in shrimp populations.

Overall, the Department of Science and Technology in Ha Tinh has been instrumental in driving economic growth and development in the region through the application of science and technology. Their initiatives have not only increased product value but have also contributed to the restructuring of the agricultural sector towards higher added value products.
