Season 5 of ‘The Family Business’ Announces Debut Date and Unveils First Trailer

BET+ is bringing back Carl Weber’s The Family Business, starring Ernie Hudson. The series is set to premiere on Thursday, July 4 on BET+ with two episodes, followed by a new episode every Thursday throughout the ten-episode season. The finale is scheduled to air on August 29.

The show follows the Duncans, a family whose ties have reached a breaking point as they are confronted with secrets from the past that threaten everything they have built. This time, the enemies are coming from within the family, and they have no one to blame but themselves. Season 5 will see a civil war between LC Duncan (Hudson) and his clan, as they face their biggest enemy yet – one of his own sons.

Executive producers for the series include Carl Weber, N.D. Brown, Ernie Hudson, and Trey Haley. Producers on the show are Jeffrey Dumpson, Walter Nixon, Sean Ringgold, Abe Brown, Greg Anderson, and Veronica Nichols. The director is Trey Haley.
