The Section III high school sports schedule for Friday, Sept. 8 includes a variety of events in different sports. Syracuse.com is the only source that provides a comprehensive schedule of all high school sporting events in Section III.
In boys golf, there are several matches scheduled. Auburn White and ESM Orange will face off against Central Square at 3:30 p.m. Pre-Game. Baldwinsville will play against F-M Green at the same time. West Genesee Blue will compete against Baldwinsville White, while F-M White will face CNS Blue. CNS Green and West Genesee will also have a match. Other matches include Tully against Chittenango and Christian Brothers Academy against Mexico.
Boys soccer games scheduled for the day include Mater Dei Academy against Cincinnatus, Watertown against Indian River, Alexandria against LaFargeville, Copenhagen against Sackets Harbor, Syracuse Academy of Science against Manlius Pebble Hill, Adirondack against Clinton, Herkimer against Cooperstown, and Thousand Islands against South Lewis, among others.
In boys volleyball, there will be a game between Oswego and Liverpool, as well as one between Cicero-North Syracuse and Fayetteville-Manlius.
The field hockey schedule includes New Hartford playing against Oneida, Port Byron/Union Springs against Cato-Meridian, Weedsport against Cazenovia, Clinton against Herkimer, Morrisville-Eaton against Mount Markham, Sherburne-Earlville against New York Mills, and Camden against Central Valley Academy, among others.
There are also several football games scheduled for the day. Some of the matchups include Watertown against West Genesee, Central Valley Academy against Institute of Technology Central, Newark Central against Jamesville-DeWitt, and Whitesboro against East Syracuse Minoa, among others.
Girls soccer games include Fabius-Pompey against McGraw, Cincinnatus against Otselic Valley, Sherburne-Earlville against Unadilla Valley, and Sackets Harbor against DeRuyter, among others.
Girls tennis matches scheduled for the day include New Hartford against Whitesboro, Rome Free Academy against Utica Proctor, and Oswego against Syracuse West, among others.
Finally, girls volleyball games include OnTech against Institute of Technology Central, Syracuse Academy of Science against Altmar-Parish-Williamstown, Cato-Meridian against Jordan-Elbridge, and Bishop Ludden against Bishop Grimes, among others.
