Singapore Airlines made an announcement on Tuesday regarding compensation for all passengers on flight SQ321 traveling between London and Singapore. This decision comes after the flight experienced extreme turbulence, resulting in about eighty passengers being injured and one fatality at the end of May. Passengers who were seriously injured will receive a preliminary payment of $25,000, with the possibility of this amount increasing after further discussions. Those with minor injuries will be compensated $10,000.

Furthermore, the airline will refund the cost of the flight to all passengers, even those who were not injured in the incident. The turbulence occurred at 37,000 feet above Bangkok, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing. The airline is taking responsibility for the welfare of all passengers affected by this unfortunate event and is providing financial compensation as a gesture of goodwill.

The safety and well-being of its passengers are Singapore Airlines’ top priorities, and these measures are being taken to ensure that those affected by the turbulence receive necessary support. The airline is committed to upholding its reputation for safety and reliability, and hopes to restore the trust of its customers through these compensation efforts.
