The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is hosting a series of free workshops called “Delta Dreams, Financial Empowerment for East Arkansas Entrepreneurs.” ASBTDC Education and Event Specialist Nick Stevens announced an upcoming event on Thursday, June 27, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart. The workshops will feature panels discussing challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurs seeking financing and support to start or grow their businesses.

The first workshop took place on June 13 at the Helena West-Helena PCCUA campus. Delta Dreams programs cater to prospective business owners as well as seasoned entrepreneurs. Stevens highlighted the chance for attendees to meet with lenders, bankers, and ASBTDC business consultants providing free consulting services.

ASBTDC is collaborating with the Arkansas CDFI Coalition for the Delta Dreams workshops. The first panel will include representatives from local CDFIs who support small businesses and entrepreneurs. Stevens expressed excitement about the partnership and emphasized the value of connecting attendees with resources and experts.

Organizers recommend pre-registering for the workshops, although it is not mandatory. Pre-registration helps ensure there are enough seats available for attendees. Registration and additional event information can be found on the ASBTDC website, where attendees can learn more about the panelists, topics of discussion, and secure their spot at the event.

Attendees can network with fellow entrepreneurs and business leaders during the workshop. The event is free of charge and offers a valuable opportunity for individuals seeking guidance, resources, and support for their businesses.
