On Sunday, June 16th at 2:22 pm, someone drove into the parking lot of Lakeside Cosmetic Center after hours, causing significant damage. Chief Operating Officer Danielle Larocca explained that it appeared the driver was trying to turn around in their parking space but accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake, leading to the car crashing into their wall. A police report was filed, and footage from nearby businesses was obtained, although it did not provide a clear picture of the license plate or driver. The vehicle was identified as a red Toyota Camry between 2007-2011 with significant damage to the front.
Larocca expressed understanding that accidents happen but emphasized the detrimental impact this incident has on their business. The estimated damage is around $10,000, and the incident may cause the business to suspend operations for about a week. Several planned patient events had to be postponed and rescheduled, resulting in a significant business disruption.
Repairing the damaged wall will be a lengthy process, requiring a complete replacement. The business has insurance, but deductibles and other insurance issues will still pose financial challenges. Larocca encouraged both new and existing clients to stay updated on the temporary closure by visiting their website and social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram under Lakeside Cosmetic Center.
