According to a recent survey conducted by Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Voices, small business owners are more undecided about the upcoming election compared to the general public. The survey included responses from 1,259 small business owners from various states and territories across the United States, with the vast majority planning to vote in November. However, about 20% of small business owners are still undecided about who they will vote for, which is higher than the general public’s 12% rate of indecision.

The survey highlights that many small business owners feel that presidential candidates are not addressing important issues that concern them, such as inflation, small business tax policy, and regulatory burdens. Jessica Johnson-Cope, President of Johnson Security Bureau in The Bronx, New York, emphasized the importance of focusing on issues that can improve the small business climate for the future of America.

Small business owners nationwide are still feeling the impact of inflation on their businesses, with 71% reporting increased inflationary pressures and 49% having to raise prices on their goods or services in the past three months. These challenges underscore the importance of addressing key economic issues that directly impact small businesses and their ability to thrive in today’s environment.
