The inaugural Small Business Straightaway at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix has announced its list of 29 companies for the event held on Cadillac Square in downtown Detroit from 3-4 June. The event offers local entrepreneurs and neighbourhood businesses the chance to benefit from the Motor City event that will draw thousands for the race weekend. The Grand Prix Small Business Straightaway is one of the key components of the Detroit Grand Prix’s previously announced Community Partnerships programme aimed at promoting sustainability, arts and culture across seven districts of the city of Detroit. The Grand Prix Small Business Straightaway will promote entrepreneurship, small business empowerment and youth prosperity, as well as focusing on Detroit’s Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) business heritage.
