SNCF Launches Campaign to Combat Insults Against Agents: Are You Surprised?

The manager in a large Parisian station, clad in a navy blue SNCF uniform and holding a cigarette, expressed her exhaustion at facing constant insults from the public. She has endured derogatory remarks such as “old skin, fat cow, and f*** you” on a daily basis, and even had a user spit on her during the Covid pandemic, leading her to file multiple complaints. The toll of these attacks has weighed heavily on her, making the process of filing complaints time-consuming and unpleasant.

In response to these incidents, SNCF is launching a communications campaign in stations and on social networks, ahead of the busy summer travel season. The campaign showcases the insults received by staff, paired with the slogan “Does that shock you? Us too.” This initiative aims to raise awareness about the mistreatment faced by station employees and hopefully deter further instances of verbal abuse.

On a different note, individuals working on .NET projects have also been facing challenges and frustrations. From dealing with bugs that seem to multiply each time one is fixed, to struggling with software projects for weeks on end, many developers are feeling overwhelmed and stuck. Whether it’s trying to build a .NET app, revamping a website using Umbraco, or navigating technical issues within existing projects, the process can be daunting and exhausting.

Despite the obstacles, individuals are seeking solutions and resources to overcome these challenges. From watching tutorials and seeking advice from online forums, to expressing frustrations and seeking support from fellow developers, the journey of working on .NET projects can be a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The key is to persist, seek help when needed, and remain resilient in the face of technical difficulties.
