The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport has announced a new service for Southwest Airlines customers – baggage check-in at the economy garage. This service is available from 4 a.m. to noon, and passengers are required to check their bags at least two hours before their flight.
The economy garage is conveniently located at 900 Airline Drive, just a 15-minute shuttle ride away from the new airport. This facility is open 24/7 and provides 2,438 parking spaces for travelers. As of 10:10 a.m. on Friday, only 111 spaces were available in the garage, as all other parking lots were at full capacity during the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend, according to the airport’s website. The availability of baggage check-in at the economy garage is a welcome addition for Southwest Airlines customers looking for a convenient and efficient way to check their bags before their flight.
