Spain ranks seventh overall in Technology, with a focus on skills like Bioinformatics, Programming Languages, and Distributed Computing Architecture. The report suggests that Spain is on track to surpass the forecast of basic digital skills for the population by 2030. Coursera’s ranking also shows that Spain is ahead of countries like Italy, Denmark, and Belgium, demonstrating a strong commitment to digital skills development.
Spanish companies are investing in training their employees to leverage technology, with 85% already doing so. The report also highlights gender parity in online learning in Spain, with almost half of the students being women. As the workforce evolves, the need for digital skills becomes more critical, with two-thirds of jobs at risk of automation.
