SPoRT Welcomes Visit from National Weather Service Office of Science and Technology Integration

The National Weather Service in Huntsville recently welcomed visitors from the NWS Office of Science and Technology Integration (OSTI). This office is responsible for managing research projects for the NWS and integrating technology across field offices. The purpose of the visit was to have discussions with NWS Huntsville and learn more about the SPoRT program, research to operations (R2O) projects, and partnerships within the NWS.

During the visit, OSTI leadership and management had discussions with NWS Huntsville officials to better understand their operations. The afternoon session focused on the SPoRT program, which facilitates the transition of NASA research to NWS offices.
