Sprinkle Me Sugar Receives $10,000 Small Business Grant

Sprinkle Me Sugar, a small business based in Jackson, Tennessee, was recently awarded a $10,000 Backing Small Businesses Enhancement Grant through American Express and Main Street America. This grant will help the business grow its brand and expand its operations, according to Raina Shults, the Founder and Owner of Sprinkle Me Sugar.

American Express and Main Street America announced the grant recipients for the Backing Small Businesses Grant Program, with Sprinkle Me Sugar being among the winners. A total of 500 small business owners across the United States, including D.C. and Puerto Rico, were awarded $10,000 each through this program. Additionally, 25 small businesses will have the opportunity to apply for an additional $30,000 enhancement grant later this year.

The Backing Small Businesses grant program was created to help economically vulnerable small business owners recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and support their business growth. Since its launch in 2021, the program has provided over $9 million in grants to 1,180 small business owners nationwide.

This initiative is part of American Express’ “Backing Small” campaign, which aims to provide financial support and resources to small businesses facing economic challenges. Other grant programs under this initiative include Backing Historic Small Restaurants and Backing International Small Restaurants. American Express has a long-standing commitment to supporting small independent businesses globally through initiatives like the Shop Small movement and Small Business Saturday campaign.
