Hiring Stormont Vail Health is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Wilson as a Behavioral Health Physician at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Wilson was born in Overland Park and raised in Missouri. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Drury College in Springfield, Missouri, and completed medical school at Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine on a military scholarship. After graduating from medical school, Wilson completed his psychiatric training following active duty service in Hawaii. He was later stationed at Fort Riley in Manhattan, where he still resides following his recent military service.
Wilson expressed his passion for psychiatry as it allows for understanding a patient’s experiences and emotions through conversation, rather than relying solely on laboratory tests and imaging for treatment. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his two children and friends.
