According to a recent study, 77 percent of Spanish children express a desire to travel to space, with many of them interested in discovering new planets, stars, galaxies, and even extraterrestrials if given the opportunity. LEGO Group conducted this research in conjunction with the release of new space-themed sets to better understand children’s interests in this subject.

The study found that 88 percent of Spanish minors find planets, stars, and galaxies interesting, with around half stating they would like to become astronauts in the future. Interestingly, more boys (59%) expressed this desire compared to girls (41%). Additionally, 86 percent of children are interested in exploring new celestial bodies, with 68 percent believing in the existence of aliens and 64 percent expressing a desire to meet them.

From the parents’ perspective, 76 percent believe that children of the alpha generation (those born since mid-2010) are more likely to travel to space than previous generations, and 75 percent are confident that these children will witness significant space discoveries in their lifetimes.
