In Thursday’s Section VI Division 1 flag football game against West Seneca West, Jamestown’s Ella Propheter (24) was seen celebrating with her teammates. According to head coach Steve Propheter, the team faced some difficulties in the passing game during the match. However, despite this issue, the team’s overall performance was satisfactory. Ella Propheter led the team by rushing for 61 yards, scoring a touchdown, converting two two-point conversions, and returning an interception for a 64-yard touchdown. The team’s performance led to a 20-6 victory over West Seneca West, improving their overall record to 2-1 and their division record to 1-0.
Kaylee Leeper also contributed to the team’s success with 61 rushing yards, a touchdown, and a one-point conversion. She also had five pass breakups and four flag pulls during the game. Defensive standout Kendall Wilson had seven flag pulls, including four sacks. Chryssa Wahl and Abbie Brandow also made significant contributions with four flag pulls each. The team will be back in action on Monday when they take on Lancaster.
