Muscle spasms had taken a toll on every aspect of her daily life, making simple tasks like walking a challenge, and forcing her to cancel her upcoming tour plans.

Despite these setbacks, Dion shared that she was working closely with her sports medicine therapist to regain strength and hopefully return to performing again in the future. She acknowledged that the journey to recovery had been tough, but she remained determined to overcome the obstacles presented by stiff-person syndrome. The disorder can present symptoms such as stiff muscles in the torso, arms, and legs, as well as increased sensitivity to noise, touch, and emotional distress, which can trigger muscle spasms.
