A Milwaukee small business owner, Kurt Baehmann, recently experienced a setback when his brand-new trailer was stolen by thieves using a U-Haul truck. Baehmann and his wife had just launched their business, Forward Outdoor, in Riverwest three weeks prior to the theft. Unfortunately, they never got the chance to use the trailer before it was taken.

Baehmann explained that their business offers outdoor gear rentals and experiences, with the trailer being essential for hauling equipment. Surveillance footage from a nearby business captured the U-Haul truck pulling into Baehmann’s business and driving off with the trailer attached, despite having multiple locks on it.

Although Baehmann filed a police report, he has not had any success in recovering the stolen trailer. Despite the setback, Baehmann remains optimistic and focused on moving forward. He acknowledged that while the trailer may be gone, nobody was hurt, and it was just an object.

As of now, Forward Outdoor has not needed the trailer for any tours, but they may have to purchase a new one if the stolen trailer is not found. Baehmann’s primary goal is to retrieve the stolen trailer, but he remains hopeful and plans to overcome this obstacle in his business journey.
