The Regional Court of Innsbruck is set to hear another case involving Signa founder René Benko on Tuesday. Reports indicate that the Innsbruck insolvency administrator of René Benko has taken a stronger stance in the case, as reported by the “Kronen Zeitung” and “News” online. A lawsuit and application for an interim injunction have reportedly been filed against René Benko’s mother, Ingeborg, at the regional court. The aim of this legal action is to prevent her from exercising her rights as a donor in the Laura Private Foundation in Innsbruck and the Ingbe Foundation in Vaduz, both closely linked to Signa’s founder.

It is suspected that Benko may have transferred assets to these foundations in Austria and Liechtenstein. Ingeborg Benko is listed as a co-founder and beneficiary in both foundations, unlike her son René. The liquidators are seeking access to the donated assets through this legal measure. The Innsbruck Regional Court could not confirm these reports on Tuesday evening, and Benko’s lawyer was unavailable for comment.
