The focus is on the second semifinal of the T20 World Cup between India and England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana. India is looking to reach their first T20 World Cup final since 2014 after a victory over Australia in the Super Eight clash. In the previous edition’s semi-final, India suffered a heavy loss to eventual champions England.

However, the weather in Guyana is expected to be a major factor in the upcoming match, with thunder showers predicted. There is a 60 percent chance of rain, which could potentially disrupt the game.

In the event that the India vs England semifinal is washed out, there is no reserve day scheduled. However, the match has been allotted an additional 250 minutes beyond the usual cut-off time to try and complete the fixture.

For the semifinals and final, a minimum of 10 overs per innings is required to constitute a match. If this criteria is not met, the team that finished at the top of their Super Eight group will advance to the final, meaning India would progress.

In case of a tie or if weather conditions prevent a Super Over from being completed, the team that finished first in its Super Eight group will move on to the final. This rule ensures that there is a clear progression plan in place in case of unforeseen circumstances.
