Tebas deems goal-line technology unaffordable, considers playing La Liga matches overseas

He stated that other very competitive leagues are emerging, so La Liga cannot continue to do the same things and expect to remain at the top. He emphasized the need for adaptation and evolution to stay ahead in the football industry.

Regarding goal-line technology, Tebas addressed concerns about its effectiveness and cost. He explained that goal-line technology is not perfect, which is why La Liga has not adopted it yet. Tebas proposed increasing the use of cameras to assist referees, as a more cost-effective approach to improving officiating standards. He believes that implementing more cameras would be more beneficial than investing in goal-line technology that may not be foolproof.
