The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the NFL in recent years, winning back-to-back Super Bowls and three of the last five championships. Their quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, is a standout player in the league and the face of the team. Many see the Baltimore Ravens, led by reigning MVP Lamar Jackson, as the primary challengers to the Chiefs’ throne.

Last season’s top five quarterbacks included Houston Texans’ C.J. Stroud, who seems to believe that Jackson has the best chance of dethroning Mahomes. Stroud, the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, rated Mahomes as the best quarterback in the league and Lamar Jackson as the second-best. This Instagram story post from Stroud shows his confidence in himself and his abilities as he included only Mahomes and Jackson above himself in the rankings.

Stroud led the Texans to an AFC South division title and a playoff win during his rookie season, showcasing his talent and proving that he belongs among the league’s elite quarterbacks. In addition to Mahomes and Jackson, Stroud’s top five quarterbacks list included Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys.

Stroud’s admiration for Jackson and the Ravens was likely influenced by their dominant performance in the AFC Divisional round, where the Ravens defeated the Texans 34-10 at M&T Bank Stadium. This interaction between Stroud and some of the league’s best quarterbacks highlights the competitive nature of the NFL and the respect that players have for each other’s talents.
