At the 56th annual Business Awards celebration, the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce named Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus “Business of the Year.” The event took place at the Kalahari Resort and Conventions, where Kelly Damphousse, TXST president, and Julie Lessiter, TXST Round Rock Campus vice president, accepted the award. This event is Round Rock’s premier business event, where the Chamber of Commerce celebrates its accomplishments and highlights the community’s most accomplished companies and leaders.
Reflecting on the award, Lessiter expressed immense pride in the recognition bestowed upon Texas State University Round Rock by the community. She emphasized the warm embrace of the community and their shared commitment to providing affordable educational access across the higher education spectrum. Lessiter also acknowledged the faculty and staff who work diligently to make the campus a great place to work and study and emphasized the university’s plans to offer many more partnerships that serve the region.
