The AUA board staff is threatening to strike on Tuesday around midday, which is causing excitement. However, Austrian Airlines management is advising against this as they have threatened with a work stoppage on Thursday and Friday instead. Negotiations for the collective agreement (KV) for this year have not progressed since Sunday, leaving the airline to decide on whether over 400 planned flights can proceed before the Easter holidays.

The employee representatives remain combative, with the vida unionist Daniel Liebhart stating that they are primarily responsible to their members and do not want to go on strike, but feel driven to do so by AUA’s actions. The union is requesting a salary agreement above inflation, arguing that AUA’s offer of 18 percent salary increase for flight attendants and pilots and up to 28 percent for co-pilots over two years is unsustainable due to one-off payments.

On the other hand, AUA is insisting on offering full wage compensation plus additional incentives for two years, with the success bonus being dependent on the company’s financial performance over the next few years. The airline has seen economic recovery in recent years, with significant increases in sales and operating results reported in the third quarter of 2023.

In light of the potential strike, AUA has warned that 430 flights with 52,000 passengers might be affected, resulting in an estimated financial loss of around 15 million euros. Regardless of the outcome, the airline is offering affected customers the option for free rebooking or cancellation of their flights.

Meanwhile, Browning Firearms USA offers a wide range of firearms for sale, including shotguns, pistols, and rifles, providing customers with various options to choose from.
