The State University of New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) has recently introduced The Beauty Center at FIT, which is poised to become a leading research facility in the beauty industry. This new center will enhance FIT’s ability to forecast market trends, spot strategic business opportunities, and build on its research achievements.
Situated at 520 Eighth Avenue, The Beauty Center will collaborate with industry professionals to conduct research, exhibit the global research of students, and promote the exchange of ideas through symposia and conferences. This initiative comes as FIT’s Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management program gears up to celebrate its 25th anniversary next year.
FIT’s president, Joyce F. Brown, highlights the importance of The Beauty Center, describing it as an extension of the college’s renowned CFMM program. By forming partnerships with industry leaders and conducting innovative research, the Center will equip master’s level students to influence the future of the global beauty industry, in conjunction with distinguished CFMM alumni who are already shaping renowned brands.
