The Buffalo Bills have undergone significant changes to their receiving corps, with four of five wideouts from the previous season now departed. Stefon Diggs being traded to the Texans has left a clear gap at the position for the Bills to address. The question now is how they plan to fill this void in their lineup.

One possible solution is to look towards the upcoming NFL draft. However, the Bills’ intentions to add a receiver are well-known, which could make it challenging for them to secure a top prospect with their current pick at No. 28. They may need to consider trading up in the first round to avoid being outmaneuvered by other teams looking to add a receiver.

Another option for the Bills is to explore the free-agent market. Players like Tyler Boyd, Odell Beckham Jr., Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mecole Hardman, Chase Claypool, and Michael Thomas are available for signing by any team. These players could bring immediate talent and experience to Buffalo’s receiving corps.

Alternatively, the Bills could pursue a trade for a veteran receiver, such as Bengals’ franchise-tagged player Tee Higgins. However, adding a veteran player would also come with financial implications, especially after incurring a significant dead-cap charge for Diggs’ departure. Managing cap space will be crucial for the Bills in any potential move they make.

No matter the approach the Bills take to address their need at receiver, playing alongside quarterback Josh Allen provides an opportunity for success for any player joining the team. The prospect of being a part of the Bills’ offense could be enticing for players looking to elevate their performance and contribute to a dynamic passing game in Buffalo.
