Canadian company North American Electric Vehicles (NAEV) has announced plans to manufacture and sell a fully electric conversion of the original H1 Hummer, known as the Cyber-Hummer. The production target for this summer is 328 cars per year, with a list price starting at $98,900 for a 300-horsepower version and going up to $139,900 for the Executive model with 1,000 horsepower.

The Cyber-Hummer is equipped with a Tesla 75 kilowatt-hour battery pack, offering an operating range of up to 482 kilometers. Despite its large size and power, the vehicle boasts impressive acceleration, going from zero to 60 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. The weight-saving modifications made to the car, including the removal of the internal combustion engine, gearbox, and fuel system, contribute to its efficiency and low energy consumption.

Founder Jeffrey Kotulak emphasizes the eco-friendly aspects of the Cyber-Hummer, highlighting the use of recycled materials in its construction. The car features seating for six people, 38 centimeters of ground clearance, and off-road tires on 20-inch rims. NAEV offers a full warranty for the Cyber-Hummer, making it an attractive option for environmentally-conscious consumers.

In addition to the Cyber-Hummer, NAEV offers lower-priced versions with 600-horsepower and 300-horsepower options. The company’s focus on sustainability and innovation sets it apart in the electric vehicle market, making the Cyber-Hummer a compelling choice for those seeking a high-performance, eco-friendly SUV.
