The effects of drinking coffee on an empty stomach

Consuming coffee on an empty stomach can lead to various health issues such as indigestion, hindered nutrient absorption, and worsened acid reflux. While coffee is a popular morning beverage known for boosting energy and enhancing concentration, drinking it on an empty stomach can pose risks to one’s health.

One of the adverse effects of drinking coffee on an empty stomach is increased feelings of nervousness and anxiety due to the stimulant caffeine. This can lead to discomfort and hinder daily activities, affecting one’s ability to concentrate effectively.

Lastly, the diuretic properties of caffeine can contribute to dehydration when consumed without food. This can worsen dehydration symptoms like headaches, dizziness, and fatigue, affecting overall mental and physical health.
