Negotiators have reached an agreement on appointments to top EU positions, including Ursula von der Leyen for the European Commission, Antonio Costa for the European Council, and Kaja Kalla as the High Representative for Foreign Policy. The agreement was reported by the German press agency Dpa, citing its sources. It was reached during a video conference among the six negotiators of the ‘Ursula majority.’ The negotiators represent various political affiliations, ensuring a balanced representation in the EU leadership.

The agreement is set to be formalized at the upcoming summit of heads of state and government in Brussels. The process involves a qualified majority voting by 15 states representing at least 65% of the population.
