The focus at the Realtors convention: Pennsylvania’s economy, job market, and technology trends.

The recent Regional Industrial, Commercial, and Investment Conference highlighted the Pennsylvania economy, job market, and technological advancements in the business sector. More than 150 commercial real estate professionals attended the annual conference, which was hosted by various realtor associations and held at the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey Hotel. The event provided a platform for professionals to network, share insights, and gain a deeper understanding of the industry’s current and future landscape.

Discussions at the conference included the impacts of technological advancements in different industries, how the job market is affecting companies, and the challenges faced within commercial real estate. The keynote address was delivered by KC Conway of KCnomics, LLC, who provided an insightful economic outlook covering various topics such as the overall economy, slow growth in the Pennsylvania economy, the role and impact of the Federal Reserve (FED), current commercial real estate conditions, capital and interest rates, and the implications of the small-box retail apocalypse on the Pennsylvania economy.

In addition to Conway’s keynote address, the conference featured a panel discussion moderated by Kevin Schreiber, President, and CEO of the York Economic Alliance. Panelists included Harold Myers, Jr., Area Manager of Manufacturing at Harley Davidson; Matt Beecy, VP of Facilities at Wellspan Health; Maura Kennedy, Senior Manager of Economic Development at Amazon; and Derek P. Dissinger, Partner at Barley Snyder and Hospitality Industry Group Chair and Real Estate Practice Group Chair. The panel discussion covered a wide range of topics related to the current and future state of the commercial real estate industry.
