The Future of Robots: Insights from Artificial Intelligence Expert Jensen Huang

During the Computex fair, the founder and CEO of the American technology company Nvidia, Jensen Huang, declared that humanity is on the brink of a new industrial revolution thanks to generative artificial intelligence (AI). Huang, donning his signature black leather jacket, outlined the company’s main developments in a two-hour presentation. He emphasized that the IT industry, which is currently worth $3 trillion, is on the verge of creating a $100 trillion industry with the advent of generative AI.

Huang discussed various innovations, including Earth-2, a digital clone of Earth for precise climate predictions, and NVIDIA ACE’s digital humans. He also highlighted the construction of artificial intelligence factories using the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture. According to Huang, applications based on generative AI will be more energy-efficient and faster, leading to significant changes in the technology sector.

Nvidia, with a market capitalization of nearly $2.7 trillion, is the third-largest company in the US after Microsoft and Apple. The company’s shares have risen over 120% this year due to the increasing demand for artificial intelligence applications and devices. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2025, Nvidia reported a net profit of $14,881 million, seven times more than the previous year, with a revenue increase of 262% to $26,044 million.

Born in Tainan in 1961, Huang visited Taiwan for the Taipei Computex event, where he interacted with industry leaders like Morris Chang and Young Liu. He emphasized the importance of Taiwan as the home of Nvidia’s valued partners and the global AI infrastructure. The Computex event, featuring over 1,500 exhibitors from 36 countries, showcases the latest technological advancements from companies like Google, Intel, and Qualcomm.

Huang’s visit to Taiwan highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and collaboration with industry partners. As Nvidia continues to push boundaries in the field of artificial intelligence, Huang’s vision of a new industrial revolution driven by generative AI is set to reshape the computing industry.
