The Greens have strayed from their roots, from Islamism to gender issues

There was a time when voting Green was synonymous with saving the planet, offering a safe alternative for those concerned about climate change or frustrated with traditional political parties. However, that image has now been tarnished by the Scottish Greens who have focused more on an ideology that has negative implications for women and children. This was evident when the party’s MSPs recently voted against endorsing the findings of the Cass Report.

In the past, Greens were known for their commitment to scientific evidence, calling out mainstream politicians for ignoring environmental facts. However, the party has now veered to the extreme in the opposite direction, to the point where key figures are unwilling to accept the results of a comprehensive study conducted by a respected pediatrician. Meanwhile, in England, the Green Party has become a hub for disparate causes, lacking a cohesive focus.

Recent local elections revealed that voters who supported Green candidates may now find themselves represented by councillors who openly support Hamas. One councillor, Mothin Ali, even shouted “Allahu Akbar” during his acceptance speech, seemingly disregarding the secular nature of local government responsibilities. This shift demonstrates the evolving landscape of the Green Party and the need for voters to carefully consider their support.

The Greens have historically been a popular choice for protest votes, given the perception that they are unlikely to win major elections. However, this is no longer the case, and potential supporters must understand the implications of their vote. From unscientific beliefs surrounding gender identity to advocacy for trans-inclusive legislation and the injection of divisive religious values into politics, the Green Party is no longer a simple environmental ally.
