The Hurricanes bolster their roster in free agency by signing Jack Roslovic to a 1-year contract

The Carolina Hurricanes have been busy in free agency, adding forward Jack Roslovic with a one-year contract worth $2.8 million. Roslovic, who finished last season with the New York Rangers, brings a wealth of NHL experience with 234 points in 481 regular-season and playoff games with various teams. The Hurricanes, led by new general manager Eric Tulsky, have added six new players in an effort to boost their forward group and make a playoff run under coach Rod Brind’Amour.

In addition to Roslovic, Carolina also signed forwards William Carrier, Tyson Jost, and Eric Robinson, as well as defensemen Sean Walker and Shayne Gostisbehere. This comes after losing key players in free agency, including Jake Guentzel, Teuvo Teravainen, and Brett Pesce. The Hurricanes are also facing uncertainty surrounding the future of restricted free agent Martin Necas, whose father has expressed a desire for a trade to seek a bigger role elsewhere.

Out West, the San Jose Sharks have signed two RFA forwards, Carl Grundstrom and Ty Dellandrea, to two-year contracts. Grundstrom, acquired from the Los Angeles Kings, brings competitiveness and offensive skills to the lineup, according to general manager Mike Grier. Dellandrea, who was traded from the Dallas Stars, adds depth and versatility to the Sharks’ roster. Both players are expected to contribute to the team’s success in the upcoming season.
