The Islanders were busy on Monday afternoon, making moves to solidify their roster. They signed winger Anthony Duclair to a four-year deal and re-signed defenseman Mike Reilly to a one-year pact. Duclair has had a successful career thus far, playing for eight different clubs over 10 seasons and recording 146 goals and 157 assists. Last season, he played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and San Jose Sharks, scoring 24 goals and adding 18 assists. Originally drafted by the Rangers in 2013, he has proven to be a valuable asset on the ice.

On the other hand, Mike Reilly has also had a well-traveled career, but he is now back on Long Island for his second straight season with the Islanders. Turning 31 this month, Reilly has played for various teams throughout his nine-year career. Last season, he played in 59 games, scoring six goals and tallying 18 assists. He also had 28 penalty minutes and finished the season with a +1 rating. Reilly’s experience and skill on the ice make him a valuable member of the Islanders’ defensive lineup.
