The jury in the Sunday Ticket class action against the NFL is currently deliberating the case, as reported by Joe Reedy of the Associated Press. They will continue to deliberate until 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday. If a verdict is not reached by then, they will reconvene on Thursday to deliberate from noon ET until 7:30 p.m. ET. It is unusual for the trial to be in session on Fridays, but there is a possibility that the work will continue into Friday.

The presiding judge has expressed frustration in open court with the manner in which the plaintiffs’ lawyers presented the case. He has the authority to enter judgment for the NFL, even if the jury returns a verdict against the league. The outcome of the case will be crucial in determining whether changes will be made to the pricing of the Sunday Ticket package. This could result in the league offering a cheaper full package and/or providing fans with more options, which would be a significant win for consumers. Regardless of the verdict, the case has the potential to bring about positive changes for NFL fans.
