The Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2023 welcomes Tom Leach and Brigid DeVries as inductees.

Two British legends, Tom Leach and Brigid DeVries, will be inducted into the Kentucky Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. Leach, who has spent 34 years in British radio broadcasting, is currently a Kentucky football play-by-play commentator and has also called games for the men’s basketball team.

On the other hand, DeVries is a pioneer in British women’s sports, having worked as an administrator and coach in Athletics, Volleyball, Golf, Swimming, and Diving. She played a significant role in Britain’s transition from club sports to intercollegiate competitions.

Apart from Leach and DeVries, the 2023 KSHOF class includes multi-award-winning sports reporter and columnist for the Courier-Journal and WDRB.com, Rick Bozich, Chris Lofton, the best 3-point shooter in SEC history, and William “Bubba” Paris, a University of Michigan All-American and a three-time Super Bowl winning offensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers.

The 2023 KSHOF class members along with their families will be honored at Freedom Hall in Louisville on September 12, 2023. Fans can read the full UK Athletics press release for more information on the event.
