The host countries for the 2026 T20 World Cup have already been determined, with Sri Lanka and India taking up the first two spots. The next 10 spots were decided by the Super Eight qualifiers at the 2024 edition and the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings as of the 30 June cut-off date.
Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, and the West Indies secured their spots for the 2026 T20 World Cup thanks to their strong performances in the First Round and entry into the Super Eights. The USA also earned a spot after defeating Pakistan in a Super Over to secure a place in Group A of the Second Round.
Despite not making it to the Super Eights, Babar Azam’s team secured a spot at the next edition of the tournament due to their T20I ranking of 7th. New Zealand (6th) and Ireland (11th) also earned spots at the 2026 T20 World Cup.
