The RBI single by Brandon Nimmo that tied the game

In the latest episode of SNY’s Mets Flip the Script presented by Tri-State Cadillac, former Mets star Keith Hernandez and current Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo sat down for a conversation at Citi Field. The two interviewed each other about their careers in baseball, sharing insights and stories from their time in the game.

Keith initiated the conversation by asking Brandon about his growth as a hitter and what it was like being drafted by New York, coming from Wyoming. He also inquired about Brandon’s experience returning to the Mets in free agency and the reason behind his unique sprint to first base after a walk. Brandon shared his perspective on these topics, giving fans a glimpse into his journey as a professional baseball player.

In turn, Brandon flipped the script by asking Keith about being traded to New York and why he chose to stay with the organization after a challenging first season in Queens. He also delved into Keith’s influences in the broadcast booth, shedding light on the legendary player’s transition from the field to the commentator’s chair.

The interview provided a rare opportunity for fans to hear from two Mets players from different eras, sharing their perspectives and insights on the game they both love. It was a unique and engaging conversation between two players who have made their mark on the Mets organization in their own distinct ways.
