After 36 years in business, the Rattlesnake Club restaurant in Detroit has made the difficult decision to permanently close its doors. Vice President and CFO Mark Tuttle expressed gratitude for the support of loyal customers and dedicated employees throughout the years. The restaurant first opened in 1988 but unfortunately could not recover after the COVID pandemic hit.

Tuttle explained that changing dining habits, decreased office occupancy, and reduced traffic have all had a negative impact on the restaurant’s revenue since the pandemic. Private events, which were a key part of the business, have not bounced back. Employees were informed of the closing on June 29 and offered severance pay.

The seasoned professionals at the Rattlesnake Club have always focused on producing the finest food and providing outstanding customer service. Their dedication has been essential in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation over the years. Despite the challenges faced due to the pandemic, the Rattlesnake Club remained grateful for the support of its customers and the hard work of its employees.

The closure of the Rattlesnake Club serves as a reminder of the ongoing impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on businesses across various industries. The restaurant will officially close its doors on June 28, marking the end of an era for a beloved Detroit establishment.
