Recently, there was a survey conducted to gather public interest in having a branch of the Kentucky Science Center in Bowling Green. Instead of the expected 50 responses, the survey received an overwhelming 2,600 responses. As a result, board members from the Kentucky Science Center visited popular locations in Bowling Green such as Downtown and Lost River Cave to gather more information.
During their visit, the board members showed great interest in learning as much as they could about Bowling Green to potentially bring a science center to the area. Telia Butler, Downtown Development Coordinator for the City of Bowling Green, expressed excitement about the possibility of a science center benefiting both locals, residents, and tourists. She is confident that the project will move forward, the only question is where, how big, and when it will be constructed.
Butler encourages the community to continue supporting the prospect of having a science center in Bowling Green as the decision-making process progresses. By showing enthusiasm and support, residents can help make the dream of a science center in the area a reality.
