The SME Development Center expected to provide guidance and growth to long-established companies.

The Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center is a holistic yoga center based in Fayetteville, established in 1998. It is dedicated to promoting safe, accessible, sustainable, and adaptable authentic yoga practices. The center is owned by Andrea Her Forne, who discovered yoga while recovering from a back injury. Since then, her practice has become her passion, and she has spent the last nine years teaching yoga at the Washington Regional Athletic Center. In 2005, Fournet opened a new facility that offers yoga, tai chi, and other health-related classes. The Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center is a registered Yoga Alliance school and offers classes, workshops, and teacher training sessions.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic caused the center to close for two months. Like other small businesses, the Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center has managed to stay afloat in these challenging times. To get guidance on the next steps for their business, Fournette reached out to the Arkansas Center for Small Business and Technology Development. With the help of the center’s consultants, Lori Liebron and Catherine Corey, Fournet will work on executing brand strategy, target audience framework, brand positioning, and clear messaging.

Fournette highly recommends ASBTDC and their services. She found the consultants to be encouraging, knowledgeable, and willing to share their insights and ideas with her. The Arkansas Yoga and Therapy Center owes part of its success to these two women.
