Some of the favorite trends include granite countertops, wall shelves, and parquet floors, while textured ceilings and wallpaper in bathrooms are seen as big no-nos. A study of 2,000 homeowners found that 21 percent believe the minimalism trend is the best move forward in home decoration since before 2000.
