The latest QS World University Rankings list for 2025 has been released, highlighting the top universities in the world. This year, the ranking evaluated a record number of 1,500 universities. Notably, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has claimed the top spot for the thirteenth consecutive year.
MIT, founded in 1861, has grown into a prestigious institution with a large community of faculty and students. In addition to MIT, six American universities, including Harvard and Stanford, made it to the top 20. Imperial College London secured second place, surpassing both Oxford and Cambridge.
Apart from the American and British universities, institutions from Singapore, China, and Australia also featured in the top 20 list. The complete list of the top 20 universities is provided below.
