The event brought together over 160 orchestra professors, 300 choir artists from the Italian symphonic opera foundations, 74 dancers, and a thousand workers, showcasing the triumph of Opera and Italian culture. The evening featured renowned artists such as Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann, Juan Diego Flórez, Ludovic Tézier, Vittorio Grigolo, and others in the largest open-air theater in the world, accompanied by dance performances by Roberto Bolle and Nicoletta Manni.
Among the attendees were the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, and various other state authorities and ministers. The celebration of Italian opera singing, recognized as a world heritage site, was led by Alberto Angela, Cristiana Capotondi, and Luca Zingaretti. Maestro Riccardo Muti opened the show, conducting significant pieces from the Italian opera repertoire, followed by performances from a stellar cast of opera stars from around the world.
The Fondazione Arena di Verona designed an original scenographic system for the event, transforming the stage into a new scenic space for dance performances by Étoiles Roberto Bolle and Nicoletta Manni. The choreographies, specifically created for the occasion, were set to the music of great masters like Giacomo Puccini, with additional dancers from the Fondazione Arena dance troupe joining the performance. The evening celebrated the beauty and excellence of Italian opera and dance on a global stage.
