Kevin, who stood at 7 feet tall when on his hind legs, became ill and underwent unexpected surgery before his untimely death at the age of 3, according to Guinness World Records.
Tracy Wolfe, Kevin’s owner from Iowa, expressed her devastation at the loss of their beloved giant boy. Kevin, who was named after a character in the movie “Home Alone,” claimed the record for the world’s tallest male dog with a measurement of 3 feet, 2 inches from his feet to his shoulders. He succeeded Zeus, another Great Dane who had previously held the title before passing away at the age of 3.
Tracy reflected on the short lifespan of giant dog breeds like Kevin and expressed a wish for them to have longer lives. She noted that the time spent with Kevin was not enough, emphasizing the love the family had for their gentle giant.
