A 30-year-old man from Essex has been arrested in connection with the Just Stop Oil protest, where activists defaced Stonehenge with orange paint powder. The incident occurred about ten days ago, and two other individuals were immediately arrested following the protest – a man in his 70s and a woman in her 20s. Both were later released on bail.

Experts acted swiftly to remove the orange powder from the stones of Stonehenge to prevent any damage to the rare lichens that grow on them. While no visible damage has been caused by the paint, there is a possibility that removing the stains could impact the fragile stones or harm the lichens.
