This Weekend: Golden Tee World Championships take place in Las Vegas

Many of us have played Golden Tee, trying to impress our friends with our knowledge of world courses by throwing quarters into the machine. However, the stakes are higher for the Golden Tee World Championship being held at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The 5-course arcade qualifier begins at 2 p.m. ET and is being streamed live on the Golden Tee YouTube page. The prize pool for this year’s event is an impressive $160,000, with 96 arcade players competing for a cash prize of $35,000 and nine open qualifying spots available for last-minute hopefuls.

Kevin Lindsay, head of amusement marketing at Incredible Technologies, is excited about this year’s event. He believes it will be a landmark year for the Golden Tee World Championships.
