Hannah Stuart, from Canyon High School, recently announced that she has signed with the University of Missouri to compete in track and field. Stuart is a talented athlete who will no doubt make a great addition to the Missouri team.
The past week saw three local athletes revealing their college choices. Mackenzie Hickman of West Plains chose to play college soccer at Northwest Oklahoma State University. She is expected to be a star player for the Lady Wolves. Jailyn Sledge from Tascosa, a talented basketball player, signed with West Texas A&M. Lastly, Abby Howell from Bushland, who had a phenomenal week in volleyball, signed to play softball at West Texas A&M after a successful high school season.
So the local talent is staying close to home, with two of the athletes choosing to attend colleges within the state. The future looks bright for these talented athletes as they move into the next phase of their athletic careers.
