PITTSBURGH – Three Pitt women’s soccer players have been named to the 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators. Fifth year Anna Bout, senior Chloe Minas and junior Sarah Schupansky represent the Panthers with this honor.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Women’s Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All- America® honorees will be announced in early December.

These three honorees have been propellers for Pitt’s most successful season in program history, setting team records for wins (17), ACC wins (6), goals (64), assists (66), points (194), and home wins (9) in a single season. The Panthers punched their tickets to both the ACC Championship and NCAA Tournament fields for the second time in program history. Pitt advanced to the ACC Championship semifinals and to the elite eight in the NCAA Tournament.

No. 11-ranked Pitt is ready to continue its postseason as it squares off against No.1-ranked Florida State in the 2023 NCAA Championship Elite Eight at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Tallahassee, Fla. The matchup is set for Friday, Nov. 24 at 5:30 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
