Tinder introduces Share My Date: A new feature for secure dating

Tinder, the leading dating app, has announced the upcoming launch of a new feature called “Share My Date.” This tool will allow users to easily share details about their upcoming dates with friends and family through the app. The idea for this feature came about after noticing that many young people under 30 often discuss their date plans with their close circle of friends. In fact, internal research conducted by the app found that 18% of users even share this information with their mothers.

Melissa Hobley, Chief Marketing Officer of Tinder, emphasized that the goal of this new feature is to make the dating experience more enjoyable, safe, and respectful for all users. “Share My Date” will streamline the process of sharing date information, giving users more time to focus on other aspects of preparing for a date, like picking an outfit and thinking of conversation topics.

With this feature, users can share details such as date, time, location, and a photo of their date partner through a simple link. Users have control over who they share this information with and can create an unlimited number of date plans, scheduled up to 30 days in advance. Additionally, users can easily update details in case of last-minute changes. “Share My Date” will be available in several countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand in the near future.
